Environment

• Large, bright and airy soft play/sleep room.
• Separate activities /messy room.
• Adult to child ration is 2 : 7.

Routine

Toddlers have wide collection of opportunities to explore, investigate and learn in a safe, stimulating environment. We encourage toddlers to paint, draw and engage in a wide range of creative activities, and at this stage play starts to become more structured.  Children enjoy the opportunity of signing, dancing and reading with adults. We also have a range of age-appropriate equipment to help toddlers to develop their problem solving and numeracy skills.

The routine encourages children to socialize with others and experience small groups as well and exploring and investigating toys and activities alone or with a supportive staff member.

Toddlers are able to enjoy a full range of outdoor activities in our fully enclosed and secure play area. We often visit the local park, where toddlers can explore nature and access play area.

If necessary your toddler has the opportunity to rest, sleeping on comfortable sleep mats.

Room progression

Toddlers progress to the Little Risers room when they are two years and nine months old. However, this very much depends on your child's individual needs and stage of development. We only move children when they are ready.

Before progressing your child will initially have visits to the Little Risers room for an hour or two to familiarise them with their new surroundings. This will gradually increase to full sessions once your child is comfortable.

You can call us during the day to check on your child's progress for your own reassurance.
