Routine
We aim to follow your child's home routine with their individual sleeping and dietary requirements. Each child's interests are taken into account for planning their play and educational development.
Nursery life can be tiring for young children so there is a supervised rest time for all children after lunch.
Should you wish to provide us with a daily diary, our staff will be happy to keep a daily record of your child’s progress.
We provide milk once your baby is old enough but we ask you to provide formula milk. We ask parents to bring in disposable nappies and wipes for their child.
Settling-in
We arrange a 'settling-in period' with you, a month before your child's first proper day. We ask you to attend the nursery with your child to familirize yourself and your child with the nursery and staff members. This could be for a couple of hours, half a day, or a few short visits over a month, depending on your child. This experience prepares you and your child for the first occasion your child attends the nursery!
Room progression
Babies progress to the Toddlers room when they are eighteen months old. However, this very much depends on your child's individual needs and stage of development. If for instance they are very mobile they may move up more quickly. We only move children when they are ready.
Before progressing your child will initially have visits to the Toddler room for an hour or two to familiarise them with their new surroundings. This will gradually increase to full sessions once your child is comfortable.
Reassurance
You can call us during the day to check on your child's progress for your own reassurance.
